Parent Club round-up


Hey there. Ho there. This is a quick round-up post as I have three windows open on my computer, just tossed the towels into the dryer, baked-from-scratch Madelines and have a heck of a lot to do for the remainder of the day. Forgive me. Please.

  • Made the Monkey Bread over the weekend with Thing 2. It took three hours to make the catastrophe. Killed it by putting in a whole package of yeast instead of following the directions (and you should know - I hardly ever follow recipe directions - I have problems with authority).

  • Over the weekend, attended a grown-up-adult-party at a brewery (and something else you should know - I don't usually drink). One long island ice tea later - the evening was just loverly!

  • Yesterday was a P.D. day (and thus no Parent Club post - we blew this pop stand and went to the science centre which hits my OCD need of teachable moments yet is a coolio family field trip)

  • We are solidly into a "musical phase" having watched mama mia, HSM 1, 2 & 3 and Cheetah Girls in the recent weeks. "Musical phase" driving me nuts and have borrowed Seven Brides for Seven Brothers from the library to teach the Things to kick it ol' skool. (As a result Thing 2 keeps singing Going hortin' instead of "going courtin". Obvious Tim Horton influence there).
