Day 6 - Fit-in 15 - Challenge

Parent Club and Bargainista have arranged a friendly Fit-in 15 competition between our two sites. Who will win the much coveted (very-non-official) Fit-in 15 trophy*?!

How you can get involved...go for a 15 minute brisk walk. You could do it downtown - on your lunch break (take advantage of the P.A.T.H. to beat the heat.) Quick step your way to your favourite store for some power shopping. Push the stroller to the park (have a healthy snack under a shady tree). Walk to pick the kids up from school. However you can fit-in 15 minutes of fitness into your day.

Then, (pah-leez), come over to Parent Club and comment, to this post, before 6pm. The blog with the most reader comments today (up to 6pm) "wins" the competition and get the virtual trophy.

What can YOU win?

All comments will be tossed into a virtual hat for a chance to win a 4GB iPod Shuffle and a $20 iTunes gift certificate courtesy of Fit-in 15. (The randomly chosen winner will be announced here on Thursday June, 25, 2009 - Canadian residents only please.)

A bit rainy here today but hope to get out later on once it clears off... on vacation in Nova Scotia, but plan to stay active! Thanks for the encouragement! :)

Took my twins out for a 15+ min stroll. Have little time to hit the gym, so have decided every day to go for a good walk every morning with them after breakfast. Plus, they like getting out now that the weather is nice too! :)

Great job in trying to motivate people. As a personal trainer I can tell you - 15 minutes is really easy to pull off in a day if you are motivated and focussed. And it will make a difference to your overall healtha nd well being.

Good luck on the trophy... and keep up with the fitness...

Okay - here goes! Went for a bikeride round the neighbourhood when hubby came home early from work. Purely me-time! Here's hoping it helps - apparently 5 kids alone are not keeping me active enough to stay fit - actually have to make a decision to do it :)

I not only went for my brisk 15 min walk (carrying 4 litres of milk)...I also parked the furthest possible spot and walked (2 times!)

Am I too late...I walked to Canadian Tire on my lunch break yesterday and took the stairs whenever possible...I was done before 6pm yesterday...and really wanted to update the blog - however we were having some network issues so I could not get online!!!
